NOTHING IS NEW - EVERYTHING IS REMIX

As the hook goes in the NaS song, " No idea is original there is nothing is new under the sun, it's never what you do it's how it's done".
Well in all forms of various industries, I learned everything that's considered great is always either a blend or a repackaged idea, and in most cases it's a combination of the two factors. Hennessy is a classic example of blending, it's a blend of 40 different "eaux-de-vie", which is a combination of aging, and distilling of grapes used to make a great Cognac. The proof of remix can be shown using the Nas song "No Idea's", which is a remix in two forms. First the sample is a Barry White Song titled "I'm Gonna Love You, Just A Little More", which was later sampled by Eric B. & Rakim to be used for the song "As The Ryhme Goes On". Even a recent blockbuster Inception was a combination of two cartoons influenced by a Donald Duck cartoon and a Japanese Anime film titled "Paprika". I remember when I 1st saw movies like Kill Bill, The Departed, or even Terminator. I said that these movies were similar to Japanese Films. The Departed was a remake of Infernal Affairs, and Terminator movies reminded me of Ghost In A Shell. As far as Kill Bill see the below footage.

THE GREEN HORNET- 2010 STARRING SETH ROGEN AND STEPHEN CHOW

Retro can sometimes be good or bad rather it be film or fashion. Sony Pictures will be releasing The Green Hornet starring actor/director Stephen Chow. Yes a remake of the television show which at onetime starred Bruce Lee!
Stephen Chow is known best for Kung Fu Hustle, CJ7, and Shaolin Soccer. The Green Hornet will be produced by Neal H. Moritz and executive produced by Ori Marmur. Also to the added list of surprises Seth Rogen
(Star of Superbad, and Knocked Up) will star as The Green Hornet with Stephen Chow as Kato. Seth Rogen also wrote the the screenplay along with Evan Goldberg.

Stephen Chow said, "I'm excited to be taking on 'The Green Hornet' -- obviously, I've been a huge fan of the show since I was a kid. The idea of stepping into Bruce Lee's shoes as Kato is both humbling and thrilling, and to get the chance to direct the project as my American movie debut is simply a dream come true. I'm grateful to my friends at Sony, who have shown so much faith in me for so many years. I'm looking forward to working with Seth, Evan, Neal, and the team at Sony, and I'm eager to get started."

Seth Rogen is synonymous with humor on the big screen and later commented on why he approached Chow to star and direct the project by adding,
"It's a very intense action movie and the relationship between Green Hornet and Kato, a lot of comedy comes from that. At first actually, we weren't even sure going in we could be more of a Jet Li type guy who maybe isn't the funniest guy in the world, but he's physically very impressive, or whether it would be more of a Stephen Chow type guy who can do martial arts, but clearly has a sense of humor. In the version that we've made it seems like a Stephen Chow type guy would be more suitable for the role. Again, until they officially greenlight it, it's hard to make any of those decisions."
